welcome to your weekly artisanal digital zine, the nexialist
hey, you! i hope this message finds you jolly. this (and the next) edition will follow the nexialist tradition: meta-editions selecting some of the best content i shared here during the year. it’s not an easy task, but it’s always impressive and satisfying to see how much content goes through this feed (and our heads) in a year. it’s a lot of content, so if you’re bored to read the whole list, read the intro and skim through. maybe something causes a brainspark?
now, this year i had quite a few first times: it was the first (and second) podcast that i participated in (newsletter economy and o analista), first time i rode a scooter (in rome and lyon —ty, juan!), my first professional massage (ty, andrea!), the first time i visited the iguaçu falls (ty, mom and dad!), the first time i saw beyoncé live (and second that i saw madonna). these things keep me in check: the best things in life are offline and with the people i love, and it makes me put more effort into getting out of the screen. i can only say i’ve been so privileged in this year of turmoil. it has been a stable year for work (thank you, envisioning!), which as a freelancer is a blessing. also, this year i’m learning how to own my wants and desires which is helping me enormously (ty, therapy and adrienne maree brown’s pleasure activism).
so thank you for sticking around, reading, sharing and interacting. and a big thank you for the paid subscribers (and occasional contributors), it is definitely a nice incentive to have your support. if you’re not on a break, tune in next week for the following topics: gender, masculinity and sexuality | language | music | amazonize the world | dutch | weird stuff
otherwise, see you next year, nexialindas!
best wishes,

🔌Let’s Collab?
I truly believe innovation comes from bringing improbable areas together, and that’s why I called this project The Nexialist. Some sectors are known to be self-referencing and hermetic. Sometimes teams are on autopilot mode, focused on the daily grind, which hinders innovation. As a Nexialist, I like to burst these bubbles, bringing references from different areas, and maintaining teams inspired and connected to the Zeitgeist.
I offer inspiration sessions called Brainsparks, creative desk research (Zeitgeist Boost), Plug’n’Play deals for workshops and sprints, and other bespoke formats. If you want to know more about this, send me an e-mail with your challenge(s) and we can figure something out together. Check out my website and some work I’ve done below:
